New procedure and guidelines from SaBC on exporting samples
Effective from 14th September 2017, there is a new procedure and guideline as part of the effort to minimise compliance issues with regard to access and transfer of biological resources out of Sabah.
This new procedure requires local collaborator to verify samples/ specimens and to ensure other related governing laws are complied with before allowing their counterpart export the said materials from Sabah. This verification has to be made in person by the local collaborator by filling out the Material Transfer Declaration Form, the form must be returned to SaBC before the export take place.
